FRI has joined the **Pact for Skills** of the **European Commission**.

The Fondazione per la Ricerca e l’Innovazione has joined the Pact for Skills, one of the flagship actions of the European Skills Agenda promoted by the European Commission.

The Pact for Skills is a European initiative aimed at supporting public and private organizations in developing effective upskilling and reskilling strategies, with the goal of strengthening the competitiveness of the economic system and supporting the digital and green transitions. In a labor market characterized by rapid change, skills shortages and mismatches are among the main challenges for employment, innovation, and growth.

Launched on November 10, 2020, the Pact promotes an action-oriented approach and cooperation among multiple stakeholders, including national, regional, and local authorities, companies, social partners, sectoral and cross-sectoral organizations, chambers of commerce, education and training institutions, and employment services. The aim is to maximize the impact of investments in training and skills development for all working-age people in the European Union.

By joining the Pact for Skills, Fondazione per la Ricerca e l’Innovazione reinforces its commitment to skills development, human capital valorization, and the dialogue between universities, the production system, and local territories, in line with the European Pillar of Social Rights and the EU’s industrial and SME strategies.
