FRI presented the Florence pilot results of the TOURISMO project at the LIBECCIO Final Event

On 23 June, FRI took part in the final event of the Interreg Euro-MED LIBECCIO project, presenting the results achieved by the TOURISMO project through its Florence pilot.

During the afternoon session, FRI delivered the presentation entitled “How cities are using thermal cameras and IoT sensors paired with AI to improve tourism flows efficiency and management: TOURISMO Florence pilot”. The presentation showcased how the integration of thermal cameras, IoT sensors and Artificial Intelligence can support cities in monitoring and managing tourism flows, providing public authorities with innovative tools to improve the efficiency and sustainability of destination management.

The event also provided the opportunity to announce an important milestone for both projects. TOURISMO and LIBECCIO have been selected under the Interreg Euro-MED Fast Lane to Transfer initiative, which supports the transfer and uptake of successful project results.

As of 1 July, both projects have officially entered the Transfer phase, which will run until 2027 and focus on transferring, replicating and capitalising on the solutions developed, fostering their adoption in new territories and contributing to a wider impact across the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Further information on the selection results is available on the Interreg Euro-MED website.
